Years One and Two

Introducing Characters: What is a character? What different types of characters are there in stories? How do we create characters through voice, facial expressions, movement and imagination.

Milly And The Magic Radio: Join Milly each week as she is transported through a magical radio set to a new land. Children actively take part in the story by describing and experiencing on their feet each new imaginative world.

Anansi: Discover the West African folk tales and help the naughty spider Anansi play his tricks on the animals of the forest. A shared storytelling experience.

Having Fun With My Shadow: Early years poems are brought to life using narration, physical theatre and role play.

Stories And Fables: Take a journey around the world learning stories from the Middle East, India and South America. An interactive and fun experience for the whole group.


Years Three and Four

Introducing Drama: How to tell stories using freeze frames, narration, sound effects, mime and charatcers. The scheme uses a range of stimuli including newspaper reports, images, props and text.

BFG and Play Devising: Introducing a simple script to the group for them to stage as a play. The children learn words, blocking movement and how to develop characters and present a final performance.

The Circus: Roll up for the circus of the imagination! Groups work together to devise mimed acrobatic and clown acts to perform to an audience.

Darkwood Castle: Spend a night in a haunted castle if you dare! Help find evidence of ghosts to help Lady Armitage start a ghost tour around her castle.


Years Five and Six

Improvisation: Introducing improvisation skills to the individual and for group work. Encouraging creative thinking, accepting ideas, working spontaneously and using observation to make acting real.

Play Devising and Performance: The scheme leads the group through the process of creating their own play. The stages include idea generating, improvising, scripting, rehearsing and performance.

Mask Work: Make your own mask and learn how to use your body to express the emotions of your mask and create your own characters.
